“I’m Not Ready”

It is common to not “feel ready” to embark on our own healing journey. When we have been avoiding confronting the pains that we have kept locked inside our inner chambers, we can’t expect ourselves to be excited about confronting these hidden parts.

We know it is not going to be easy. We know it is going to hurt. But we all reach a point in our lives when ready or not, our souls beckon us to rediscover the truth of who we are so that we can be clearly see the ways in which we are living out of alignment with our most authentic self and our most authentic truth. Some are called to begin our healing journey when we lose a loved one, while others may be called after receiving a diagnosis of a chronic disease. Whatever it is that prompts us and propels us forward to walk our path back to wholeness, the experience arises to wake us up so that we can begin saying YES to ourselves, our health, and our future.

We can’t really begin saying YES to ourselves and to the future we want to create until we are confronted with the understanding of the ways in which we have said NO to ourselves, to our desires, and to our dreams.

We can’t really begin the true healing journey heal until learn to really love ourselves until we become aware of the ways we have supported our own ongoing pain.

We all have moments where we betray ourselves. We let fear overcome our minds. We self-sabotage. We self-abandon. We hurt those we love.

Getting real about what we need to change is often a painful yet clarifying process. It requires us to get honest about where we have been hiding and to identify the ways in which we have continued to sabotage the one thing we all want, a healthy and happy life. The process requires us to get comfortable with vulnerability so that we can stop our habit of seeking comfort from external sources (i.e. food, alcohol) and begin receiving comfort and support in a healthier manner.

If you are feeling ready to create big changes in your health and in your life, I am here to support you.

Know that you are not alone.

Xo,
